Anyone who needs App Store or Play Store screenshots knows the choice: an expensive SaaS tool on a subscription, or design software with a learning curve — for a handful of PNGs per release. Appshot is our answer: a small, browser-based tool that does exactly that and nothing else.

How it works: upload raw screenshots (from a simulator or a device), write a headline and subheadline, pick a background and accent color — and you get pixel-exact PNGs for every required device size, iOS and Android, as a ZIP ready to upload straight into App Store Connect or Play Console.

What Appshot isn’t: no server, no account, no build step. Everything runs in the browser, rendering entirely through Canvas 2D. Your screenshots never leave the browser — export just means saving a file. Projects can be saved as an .appshot file to back up or hand off to a teammate, and work-in-progress autosaves to IndexedDB.

Deploying it is as simple as the idea itself: a handful of HTML/CSS/JS files you drop on any static host — GitHub Pages, Netlify, S3, doesn’t matter.

Appshot isn’t a big product — it’s a tool that solves a recurring, annoying problem properly. Exactly the kind of software we like building.
